The 9-patch tulip block is an easy one to make. The tip of the tulip is made with a "log cabin" method. The pieced squares for the tulip and leaves are sewn with quick grid marking and sewing techniques, and then squared up to match the size of the other pieces. The stem is topstitched to a background square.
